    Shanghai, China

This 3,000 sm yacht club occupies the centre of a 300-berth marina, inscribed in a semicircular breakwater and is the symbolic centerpiece for the oceanfront promenade and boardwalk lined with shops, bars and hotels.  A 5 storey atrium links the distinct functions of each floor and allows for guests to move easily throughout the building. The building opens towards the water with outdoor terraces creating a complex form rising towards the central watchtower at the summit. This project was designed by Howard Rideout as consultant to B+H Architects, Shanghai.
