"Dockside at Figure 8", is a 1.5km long waterfront playground for Tianjin’s new Binhai District. An undulating boardwalk that forms a series of 8’s, encircles 8 distinct islands of activity along a historic canal. On its west end, the buildings are large and dramatic that responds to the city core, and steps down in scale as it moves toward the east end, integrating with the adjacent city park. Howard Rideout is the chief designer of this project as a consultant to B+H Architects, Shanghai.
