Welland, Ontario

This 500-acre site, adjacent to the Welland Canal and Niagara Falls, was master planned by Howard Rideout while working for the offices of Patrick T.Y. Chan Architect. The axial scheme was organized around a 1/4 reproduction of The Forbidden City in Beijing. A large parking area was organised to resemble Tiananmen Square with guests directed to the arched entry and through it into the five themed areas of the park.
