HRA's Vision
Howard Rideout Architect (HRA) specializes in detail-oriented architectural projects with complex programmatic requirements
and produces a variety of work from international designs to local commercial, institutional and residential projects.
Founded in 2000, HRA and consists of a staff of three, including an architect, designer and technician who Howard Rideout oversees. When consulting on the design of larger international projects,
Howard manages teams of up to 10 to realize his visions.
With 30 years of experience in healthcare, retail and entertainment facility designs, HRA has partnered with several Toronto architectural firms on mid to large-scale international projects of varying complexity. We have teamed up with B+H, CXT Architects, Patrick T. Y. Chan Architect, architectsAlliance and Forrec on local as well as on international projects throughout Asia and the Middle East.
Within Canada, HRA specializes in large single family residences and country retreats; resort and entertainment communities throughout the Muskoka, Georgian Bay and Haliburton County of central Ontario. We have designed numerous resorts, community centres and residences in a variety of styles - each reflecting the specific needs of each client and addressing their landscape and urban settings.
From the intimate details of the custom home to the broad visions of his master plans, Howard's strength in illustration and hand drawing allow him to convey multifaceted design ideas with ease, both to clients and his team of technical experts.
