Xiaomai Island, China

A dense commercial shopping and restaurant village inspired by Qingdao’s historic architectural heritage is the gateway into the site. Axial views are provided from this compact pedestrian shopping area to the two outer islands, one natural and the other man-made, ensuring that visitors are attracted deep into the site to explore its many waterfront attractions. This project was designed for B+H Architects.
